What’s Happening at Berkeley

Alumnus Kyle Dagostino ’14 in 2024 Summer Olympics

Jul 26, 2024

Berkeley is cheering on alumnus Kyle Dagostino ’14 while he’s in Paris for the 2024 Summer Olympic Games.

Kyle is a libero for the United States men’s national volleyball team and an alternate for Team USA in the Paris Olympics. Kyle recently told NBC2 in Fort Myers that to represent Florida, Tampa, and Berkeley in Paris will be a remarkable experience, adding, “It’s something that I’ve been dreaming and thinking about from a very young age.”

Kyle showed promise on the volleyball court from an early age. During his time at Berkeley, he played on the Varsity Boys Volleyball Team, where his father, Randy Dagostino, coached him. In 2014, the Dagostino duo led Berkeley to its first volleyball state championship.

Kyle went on to play for Stanford University, where he was an All-American, before going pro in 2019. Ever since, he’s traveled the world with the United States men’s national volleyball team, even winning a gold medal at the 2022 Volleyball Nations League.

Berkeley is proud of all that Kyle has accomplished—our entire campus community will be rooting for him and Team USA on the world stage!
